Wow! We are finishing off October with lots of traveling. We got everything packed up in Singapore and all our medical tests done so we could head to the United States on the 28th. This was Naomi's first trip to the States. We got up early around 3 AM to get ready and leave for an early flight out of Singapore. We had no difficulty or problems getting checked in. Our first flight was to Hong Kong and Naomi slept 1 hour on that flight. Then we had to switch planes and get ready for the long flight to the US. This flight was more challenging. Naomi stayed up about 10-11 hours straight on this flight fighting the sleep. Overall she did a wonderful job, but Mommy didn't get any sleep. Naomi finally went to sleep for the last 3 hours of our flight to Chicago. Mommy still didn't sleep at that point. The people on the flight was impressed with how well Naomi did on such a difficult flight. She really only had one major breakdown.
Once we were in Chicago our flight to KC was delayed and we were really disappointed because all we wanted was to get to a bed! We finally made it to KC very late on the 28th. Naomi had a little jetlag, but did a great job with recovering. She only woke up at 4:30 AM for the first two mornings. The 2nd morning we went to Wal-Mart (Naomi's first Wal-Mart experience). It was actually a little overwhelming looking at all the choices. Of course Christmas stuff was already out!
The fun part of the trip has been introducing Naomi to her grandparents and other family members. She has done a terrific job and has warmed up to everyone very quickly. She is our social butterfly.

~This was Friday October 31st. Since we aren't celebrating Halloween we decided to put Naomi in a practical outfit (yeah, go Chiefs!) and drop by Grame's work. Grame gave Naomi some fruit and gummy bears. Naomi really enjoyed that.
