August 11: Naomi is Baptized!

Naomi's Baptism:

A New Day; A New Life

It's another day of rejoicing!  Today Naomi is now obeying Christ's command to be baptized because she is His follower now.  Naomi believed in Jesus for a long time, but last night she lived out Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved." Naomi confessed she was a sinner in need of this amazing Savior.

It's so simple and beautiful that even a child can put their life in our Maker's hands.  She knew she had done wrong.  She knew only Jesus could fix the sin problem through His precious blood on the cross.  But that's not the end...He came back alive!  Jesus saves!  And now He has raised my sweet daughter from the dead and I no longer have just a daughter on earth, but she is now my sister in Christ forever.  We will get to be at the throne of God together praising God our Lord and Savior for eternity.  Naomi is alive in Christ!  That is the whole point of her baptism today.  She is testifying to all those in her life that she is a new creation in Christ.  As she said, "I have a new heart.  It feels clean like after I take a bath."

We gathered together at the beach with our house fellowship (nationals) and other friends.

I had the privilege to go out in the water and be a part of baptizing Naomi with Nathan.

We are getting ready to lay her down in the water just like Christ died and was buried for our sins.

And she came up out of the water, just as Christ was raised from the dead.  

Her life is new and she has eternal life.

It's a day that glorifies God.  One more lost sheep has returned home.  She is now in God's forever Kingdom.  That brings us no greater joy.

And now we ask that you help in lifting up Nora, Nadia, and Noelle's salvation.  May they too testify of our Almighty God's immeasurable grace and mercy He had on us through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
