October 2- Singapore Zoo!

While in Singapore for a visa run, we took the girls to the zoo. It was such a blast. Naomi and Nora both really enjoyed seeing the animals. It was funny because Naomi was really interested in Africa, which is where a lot of the fun animals are and some of her favorites. Nadia just went along with the ride. We unexpectedly ran into some friends while we were there in the kid area. There was a water area for small kids and we didn't know it was there, otherwise we'd had brought the girls bathing suits. Well, our friends had an extra swimming diaper for Nora to use (thank you!). It was so fun. I think the girls enjoyed the water area just as much or more than the zoo.

The girls really enjoyed the elephant show. Before we had gotten to the elephant show, Naomi "said" she was interested in riding the elephants. She wanted to ride a girl elephant. After the elephant show we asked her about riding the elephants. She said she didn't want to now. We asked why. Naomi: "Because they may drop me in the water!" LOL...that was so funny...the elephants had picked up logs and dropped the logs in the water. We reassured her that they wouldn't do that to her, but the elephant rides were out of the question after that.

While watching the elephant show a cute, little Asian girl came over to Nora and hugged her. Nora didn't mind.

Naomi feeding a goat a leaf. She thought she wanted to give him a leaf, but she'd always jerk her hand away when the goat got close. I had to help her feed the goat. It was cute.

First, I have to say it's Asia. We came to the zoo unprepared for a water area. The girls saw it and wanted in. So, since they are still young enough we let them play without bathing suits. Naomi didn't want to do that at first but she really wanted to get in. The ultimatum was to either not play or play in her undies. She decided for the latter. This was one of the highlights of the girls day. It really was a neat area.

The girls were not brave enough at first to go through the sprinklers, but after a few minutes of seeing other girls and getting warmed up they went through and kept going and going.

(Actually, I almost called Nadia Nora. At first we thought Nadia looked much like Naomi. Now we think she has begun to look a lot like Nora).
