June- NRN4 moments

Even though we've anticipated our departure, not knowing the date for sure was a little difficult on us. We managed though with lots of support from friends and family. Thank you to everyone who kept their petitions before God's throne! We managed to get some good snapshots of some NRN4 time in the chaos of this month. We also ended up celebrating Nathan's birthday (the day before we departed) in the States, which we didn't anticipate doing. We had some awesome friends watch the girls for us and we got to go on a date! That was a treat.

After much waiting and uncertainty in our date in leaving we were shooting for Saturday, June 13th. As Friday drew near and we had no sign of our visa's coming by Saturday we were pretty sure we weren't leaving on Saturday much to our disappointment. Yet, God is good (always!)...Naomi got really sick on Saturday. God gave us a few extra days to let her recover. It ended up being a really good thing. After not sure when we were going to get our visa's we chose to leave on Thursday, June 18th. Indonesia here we come...

We celebrated Nathan's birthday a little early because we thought we'd be in jetlagg. Well, turns out we celebrated in the States afterall!
Naomi's card to Daddy (if you can't tell the scribbles are Naomi's message to Daddy).

Most days we tried to get Naomi out and let her play. One of her favorite things to do was swing.

Are they calling for rain? No...Naomi just thought it would be fun to hold the umbrella.

Good work Daddy!

Naomi is a good helper. She likes to help in lots of ways. She even likes to let us know what is wrong with Nora. We walked out of the room briefly and Nora was crying. She stopped and we come in and see that Naomi decided she wanted the bottle. So she's being a great big sister by feeding her sis.

A happy camper now.

Naomi woke up and I went to get her. I told her it was Daddy's birthday. She said, "birthday cake! Naomi's birthday cake!" I tried to explain that we would make a brownies, but she insisted on a cake. I said ok, how about a brownie birthday cake. She thought that was a good idea. But, we had to have candles. It also took a little persuasion to convince her it was Daddy's birthday and not hers.

Naomi wanted to help Daddy blow out the candle. She did it!

Nathan, thank you for being such a wonderful husband, amazing father, and godly man. It's so great to be able to celebrate another year of life with you. I'm excited to see more years to come and how the Lord will lead and direct us.
Happy Birthday my Love!
