August Fun

We have had many celebrations this month. We celebrated Grame's birthday at the beginning of the month. Naomi made her a brownie birthday cake and we sang to her. Then Indonesia celebrated it's independence on the 17th. We went to a friend's neighborhood to celebrate because our neighborhood didn't put anything together this year. Naomi had a lot of fun playing with the kids. Nina enjoyed talking with the ladies there. At the end of the month we got to celebrate one of Naomi's friends birthday. It was a pool party so we got to go swimming.

Nora enjoying her sippy cup. She is growing so fast and seems more independent than Naomi with certain things, like using a cup.

Naomi stiring the brownies for Grame's cake. She loves to be in the kitchen with Mommy and always ask if she can help stir.

Celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day. Naomi enjoyed trying some new games.

Mommy and Nora helping Naomi with this game. We need one more person on our team and another team to race :)

Nathan challenged some kids to tug-o-war. They enjoyed the challenge.

After a long afternoon of playing outside for the festivities, Naomi wanted to take a nap, surrounded by some bears.

Nora enjoying some time in her walker outside.
~
Naomi waving a stick around saying "Abracadabra" like Dora says in some of her movies.
~
Naomi and Nora together. Nora's no longer enjoying her time outside.
~
Naomi also likes to play with chalk outside. She's washing her hands off.
~
Nora had so much fun at the pool party that she needed to get some zzzzzz's.
~
Naomi is our social girl and had a great time at the birthday party. Then when you add swimming to that, how could her day get any better :)?!
