July 2008

Is it really the end of July?! We celebrated a lot of things this month. We got together with friends to celebrate the 4th of July. We were even able to get some sparklers to show Naomi. She was interested for a few minutes, but more interested in holding the sparklers. The ends were too short for her to try. We had a friend go back to the States and we sure are going to miss her! Then we celebrated Nina's birthday. Overall it was a good month.

Naomi is continuing to take in the world around her. We just ask that the Father would allow her to see her need for Him at an early age. When we pr.y she holds our hands now and closes her eyes for a little while. Sometimes she even says amen at the end. Her vocabulary is really taking off. There are so many funny moments with Naomi around. She likes to mimic her Daddy and Mommy in words and actions. There has been some rough times this month as Naomi is getting in some of her molars. She started cutting about 3 of them in the last few days.

Many times a group of boys come to our home to ask to play soccer in our yard. When they do play sometimes Nathan and Naomi go out and watch them. Daddy and Naomi hanging out watching the boys play.

Naomi has started to enjoy bags and shoes. She likes to try to carry any bag, no matter how heavy it is. If it has a long strap, she puts it around her neck.

Not only does Naomi like bags now, she also likes to put on "adult" sandals.

We were in the kitchen, turned around, and saw Naomi sitting in the bottom of her highchair. We thought that was for catching food, not babies :)

Naomi absolutely loves buttons. That is her weakness. She gets to talk on the computer a lot to grandparents and so really enjoys the computer. She is just like her Daddy! But she needs to be talking on the phone at the same time :)
