Nora's Birthday in Our New City

It's the actual day! Happy Birthday Nora! This year has come and gone with many excitements and challenges. What an exciting time to have Nora come into our family. Her name means "Bright Light" and there are many things that have been very bright in her life - her smile, laugh, and even her temper. The first 6 months of her life were challenging with battling acid reflux. Things got better after that point. It was exciting to be in the States with family and friends for the first 4 months of her life and returning for Aunt Natalie's wedding in October.

We enjoy watching her solve her little problems - climbing up/down steps, maneuvering around the house, figuring how to reach that no-no on a shelf. It's been interesting to watch her personality develop. She is so different from Naomi.

Oooo-ha-ha, it's birthday time.

"Yep, I have a great Daddy!"

Naomi didn't want to be left out of photo.

We made brownies for Nora's birthday cake and we didn't have candles so we used a fork-ha! She has more enthusiasm today than on her other celebration.

All gone!

Naomi's more excited to look at the books than Nora was.

We went swimming with some friends on her birthday. It was a lot of fun. Nora is munching on a cracker to hold her over until lunch.
