October 3rd: The Big Day!

Oh Happy Day: The wedding was on October 3rd at Murder Rock in Branson, MO. We all stayed in Branson Thursday through Sunday to help with the wedding. It was full of fun times and baking. Natalie wanted to make oreo balls, brownies, and rice krispies for the reception. We all chipped in and helped her bake. It was a fun bonding experience. Naomi had a fun time hanging out at Aunt Natalie's house and hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma Nance. I think they enjoyed her just as much. I think if Nora could talk she would say she had a great time too.

It was a beautiful day at Murder Rock. Natalie and Curtis couldn't have asked for a better day for the time of year. It was all so beautiful. Naomi and Nora looked so pretty in the burnt orange dresses. Nora was an honorary flower girl. So I know everyone is wondering how our girl did being the flower girl (especially if any of you know my story as a flower girl). Well, we explained and rehearsed what Naomi would have to do and that there would be a lot of people sitting down watching her come down the aisle. She seemed to understand. Hannah and Naomi even practiced a few times before the wedding. It's time for the girls to do their show. They both begin walking down just fine and no crying which is good. However, I think Naomi got a little stage fright and forgot to drop the flowers. Nathan and I were motioning for her to drop the flowers. Hannah was also telling Naomi to drop the flowers. It was very funny because, Hannah was concentrated on trying to help Naomi that she didn't drop any flowers either. So when they got to the end of the aisle (the aisle was short), Nathan was waiting for Naomi. He grabbed a handful of flowers out of Naomi's basket and threw them in the aisle, which drew quite the chuckle. Perfect for a flower girls' performance.
